No student shall be eligible for promotion unless he/she puts in an attendance of at least 85 percent of the total number of working days in an academic year. This can be condoned only on medical grounds or at the Principal’s discretion for special reasons.
Applications for leave of absence from the school should be submitted beforehand to the class teachers. In unforeseen circumstances, leave should be applied for not later than the following day.
Leave application for more than three days should be supported with a medical certificate.
If a student has an infectious disease parents should keep the child at home till he/she recovers. A Medical Certificate and Fitness Certificate must be submitted on return.
If a student is absent without permission for six days consecutively at the beginning of the academic year, or 15 days consecutively during the course of the academic year his/her name shall be struck off from the rolls (vide KER VI/15).
Under normal circumstances availing of half day’s leave is not permitted.
